I am a personality psychologist interested in emotion. I do research on such topics as emotion/cognition interactions, emotional aging, emotion regulation, and subjective well being. My current work is funded by NIA and NIGMS. I currently serve as a member of the Publication Committee of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. I am fellow of both APA and APS, serve on several journal editoral boards, and am currently serving as Chair of the Psychology Department at Washington University. I am listed on http://isihighlycited.com/ among the 250 most highly cited psychologists in a 20-year period.
